Learning To Trust Your Intuition

Three Small Steps; How I Help Women Trust Their Intuition Again

So many people believe intuition is something reserved for “gifted” people.  Words On Paper Trust Your Intuition

They imagine it belongs to psychics, mediums, healers or people who see visions, hear voices and know things dramatically.

But that isn’t what I see in my work.

What I see, time and time again, is that intuition is already there.

It’s quietly woven into everyday life.

The challenge is not that people don’t have it.

The challenge is that most people have forgotten how to recognise it, trust it and act on it.

This week I guided a beautiful group through a three day intuition challenge, and the feedback reminded me of something important:

You do not need huge spiritual experiences to reconnect with yourself.

Sometimes it starts with three very small steps.

Step 1: Notice The Nudges You Usually Ignore

Many people think intuition has to be dramatic.

In reality, it often arrives as a subtle thought, a quiet knowing, or a gentle urge.

One participant said she heard her phone ping and immediately said to her daughter, “That’ll be Olio telling me where discounted food is today.”

When she checked, it was exactly that.

Another participant cancelled a second gym class “for some reason”, then bumped into a friend afterwards and ended up going for coffee, something that would never have happened otherwise.

Another asked what her body wanted for lunch and instantly knew yoghurt was the right choice.

These moments may seem small.

They are not small.

They are evidence.

Intuition often comes disguised as ordinary thoughts we dismiss too quickly.

Step 2: Learn The Difference Between Fear And Intuition

This was a huge breakthrough for many in the group.

So often people confuse anxious thoughts with guidance.

Fear tends to feel loud, urgent, emotional and repetitive.

Intuition usually feels calm, neutral, simple and clear.

One woman asked internally whether she should carry out a past life reading for a friend.

She noticed fear come up first.

But underneath that was a clear, matter of fact knowing:

“It’s fine, as long as the intention is healing.”

That distinction changed everything for her.

She later shared that now she understood the difference between her thoughts and her intuition.

This is where confidence begins.

Not by eliminating fear entirely, but by learning which voice is which.

Step 3: Build Trust Through Everyday Practice

Most people wait for a life changing sign before trusting themselves.

I teach the opposite.

Start small.

Use intuition in ordinary moments:

What shall I eat?
Which queue should I join?
Do I turn left or right?
Should I keep this item or let it go?
Do I stay or leave?

One participant used intuition while clearing her wardrobe and noticed she let go of things easily, with none of the usual dithering.

Another tested red and black cards and got three out of three correct.

These little experiments matter because trust is built through repetition.

The more evidence you gather, the more natural intuition becomes.

What Really Shifted This Week

By the second day, several women shared the same realisation:

“My intuition is there. I just need to trust it.”

That sentence says everything.

They did not suddenly become intuitive overnight.

They recognised they already were.

You Do Not Need To Be More Gifted

You do not need visions.

You do not need voices.

You do not need to be someone else.

You simply need to slow down, notice what is already happening, and begin trusting yourself one small step at a time.
